Big House On A Mountain — Annika Bennett (music video)
Annika & I drove up to her grandmother’s house in Connecticut to spend the day with her - pulling fresh baked bread out of the oven, meandering, chatting, making pottery in her basement, eating ice cream for dinner. I was lucky to be invited to document it and distill it into this music video.

I'm sad for the silver sky
For the winds that blow
For the owl and willow tree
And the trash out in the road
I'm sad for the passing time
For the hillside glow
For the cars stuck on the freeway
For me, stuck on the phone
I want a big house on a mountain
I want the mountain to never move
I want someone to hold me and say we'll be alright
And I want it to be true
Sold the car that I drove out west
Crying in the lot
I get sad when things are changing
Get sad when they are not
There's a line from the back of my skull
That connects the dots
And I know what really matters
But I can't get my feet to stop
I want a big house on a mountain
I want the mountain to never move
I want someone to hold me and say we'll be alright
And I want it to be true
I want a table at a restaurant
Long enough for everyone I love
And I wanna sit around talking and never go anywhere
And never worry about anyone
Ooo, oooo
I look up at the real world
And I don't know what to do
Oooo, oooo
I look up at the real world
And I wish I still had you
I want a big house on a mountain
I want the mountain to never move
I want someone to hold me and say we'll be alright
And I want it to be true
